Karen Eisenberg, Metalsmith

Working with metal has been my passion for a long time. I enjoy the process of forming new shapes and structures with precious and semiprecious materials, combining silver, gold, gemstones and beach stones. I began my exploration of jewelry design and metalsmithing at Rhode Island School of Design and have continued to refine my technique and style over the years. My work is strongly influenced by natural forms and textures that provide inspiration to create jewelry that is new, refined and classic. I am also influenced by different genres from contemporary to ethnic cultures and incorporate those influences into varying surfaces and patterns. I am a long-time resident of the Mount Washington Valley in New Hampshire. Away from my studio, I enjoy spending time with family and being active outside.
